A grey day.
A trip to Sheffield to visit friends cancelled due to lurgy (ours, not theirs).
A need for some serious cheering up.
A new book
And some chocolate inspiration
Or, in the much more impressive sounding French – Moelleux au chocolat. Rich, gooey and very decadent.
The recipe calls for ramekins but as mine all seem to be being used to store jelly beans and dolly mixtures (who knows?) I thought my Denby coffee cups would do the trick. I think they look quite cute. Vintage teacups would look adorable but I would be wary of using them in case putting them straight from the fridge into a hot oven ended badly!
They are yummy straight from the oven. And even more delicious with a spoonful of whipped cream on the side.
with whipped cream. But, they are also nice the next morning, when the molten chocolate centre has cooled and set a little to a more fondant like texture….
Go on. You know you want to 🙂
